El jefe de los servicios médicos de Inglaterra, Chris Whitty, indicó que los primeros contagiados son miembros de una misma familia.
Según el comunicado difundido por el ministerio de Salud británico los pacientes están siendo tratados por especialistas y han recurrido a procedimientos usados en el control de infecciones para evitar la nueva propagación del virus.
También se están “identificando rápidamente” las personas que estuvieron en contacto con estos dos pacientes, dijeron las mismas fuentes.
Las autoridades sanitarias británicas no explicaron si las dos personas infectadas habían viajado a China recientemente.
El martes pasado, Londres solicitó a sus ciudadanos que evitaran viajar a China y la compañía British Airways suspendió sus vuelos hacia el país asiático.
